Expertise
Lydia Stötzer studied history, political science and communication science at the FU Berlin and as a guest student at the TU Berlin and the University of Potsdam. She worked for various research projects (among others on the history of medicine and political imprisonment in the GDR as well as on Colonia Dignidad in Chile) and is a long-time consultant in historical-political educational work in memorials and museums (Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen, Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Forum Willy Brandt Berlin). Her main focus is on the role of medicine in National Socialism.
Since October 2022, she has been a research associate in the project "GeDenkOrt.Charité - Wissenschaft in Verantwortung" (Memorial.Charité - Science in Responsibility) and heads the office there.
