Henriette Voelker joined the project management of the ERC project "Taming the European Leviathan: The Legacy of Post-War Medicine and the Common Good" in 2023 (collaborative project: https://leviathan-europe.eu/). Between 2019 and 2022, she was a research associate in the DFG-ANR-funded research project "Retrieving Alternatives. Pluralism in Practice in European Psychiatry, 1950-1980" and in the DFG-funded research project „Doing Patient. Psychotherapeutische Selbstberichte aus der DDR“ ("Doing Patient. Psychotherapeutic Self-Reports from the GDR.") Her research interests as well as the focus of her dissertation are on the everyday practice of psychotherapy and psychiatry in the GDR as well as on patient‘s history.

Vita Henriette Voelker
Since 2023, Henriette Voelker has been working in project management at the Institute for the History of Medicine and Ethics in Medicine at Charité. Previously, she was employed here as a research assistant in various psychiatric history research projects. She studied history, art history and Italian philology in Berlin and Rome and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in 2019.
